Rest in Peace Timothy Kimble (48)

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — A dispute over a towed vehicle has left two men dead in Birmingham.
Police identify the dead as 21-year-old Roderious Smith of Fairfield and 48-year-old Timothy Kimble of Birmingham.
Police say the men began arguing after Kimble towed Smith's broken-down vehicle off a road to a house where the shooting occurred.
Shots rang out as the dispute got worse between Smith and another person who was riding with the tow-truck driver. Both Kimble and Smith were hit.
Kimble was dead at the house, and Smith died later at a hospital.
Police say they haven't made any arrests.

  1. Tim was my husband, my bestfriend, soulmate, partner, and my hero. He saved my life by stepping in front of the bullet that was mean't for me. I tried to save my husband, but unforetunately it was to late the monster shot my husband in the chest and I shot the monster that was shooting my husband. This was a senseless tradgedy that I hope no one every has to experience. This all happened over some thug getting mad because we hit a pothole on our way to deliver his POS ford focus. I did get to hold my husband in my arms as he slowly passeded away. We spent every minute together for 11 years and were together for 13 years. He was a great man and helped thousands of stranded motorist, alot of the time for free, because that was just the kind of man he was. He was brave, kind, smart, and most all the greatest man I will ever know. I loved him so much and I don't know what I will do without him, but I must do something great for him since he made the ultimate sacrifice for me. I would gladly trade places with him, but I can't. We had no life insurance and we ran our business together, however I will never step foot in another tow truck again. So here I am trying to figure out what to do with the rest of my life without my bestfriend and partner. We will be setting up a Memorial Fund shortly to help me get back on my feet, so my brother doesn't have to support me forever. I also want everyone to know to please be careful, people just don't care about human life anymore and apparently will murder you over a pothole. As tow truck drivers we don't make a fortune, most do it because we like to help people and it is a way to make a little money in the process to take care of our families. So if the customer is acting funny or wanting to fight, just leave save yourself and you can sort out the rest later when you still have a life! God bless you all and please I beg you to be careful night our day!

    Sincerely,

    1. Anonymous grow some balls and say that crap to my face you coward! Smith was a piece of garbage thug that is rotting in hell, where I put him! My husband only pulled out a knife after that POS pulled out a gun. So try and spout whatever crap you want, but obviously you don't know sh*t.
