Rest in Peace Faapuna Manu
A tow truck driver who had stopped to help a stranded driver was struck and killed by another vehicle.
Faapuna Manu had stopped his truck on
I-405 near Orange Ave. in Long Beach at about 2 a.m. Sunday, the
California Highway Patrol said in its report on the collision.
He was standing next to his truck inflating a spare tire for the people inside a disabled 2005 Mercedes-Benz when he was hit.
Raymond Burley, the driver of the
2005 Toyota that police say hit Manu, was hospitalized with moderate
injuries, according to the report.
Burley, 26, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, the report said.

ReplyDeleteRIP Lil Mac. You didn't deserve this at all. You were such a good guy. Every time I seen you you always had jokes & stayed smiling. I love you lil cuzz. I still can't believe it.
ReplyDeleteThe love that you shared with us all will forever be a memorial of the person you were. Mom LeBlanc misses you
ReplyDeleteLove and miss you terribly :(
ReplyDeleteRaymond Burley destroyed an entire family in one night. Lil Mac leaves behind a wife and four young children, ages 1-9. It is so ridiculous how even with all of the campaigning against drunk driving out there, that people still choose to go out and drink with designated drivers and drive intoxicated. A night of fun for Raymond Burley robbed the Manu Family of a joyous Christmas and New Year's.
ReplyDeleteRest in Love Lil Mac! We love you!
